Has anyone seen Requiem for a Dream?

man, what a fucked up film about the lengths ppl will go to to get what they want.

that whole fast action end sequence just made me ill last night. i'm surprised i didn't have any nightmares. altho, the refrigerator part was kinda funny.

Yep. nod

I watched it last year when I was deep, DEEP into being heavily medicated for an injury I have. Let's just say it really made me freak out even more than I normally would have, I think.

I loved this movie because it was so deep. You may want to check out Train Spotter too if you liked this movie!!!

its a really good movie. very weird. i read this book also geek it was hard at first because it doesn't have any punctuation-just run on sentences but i got used to it. the movie is true to the book. nod

I've seen bits and pieces when it would come on cable, but the whole drug addiction concept FREAKS me out, and I'm too chicken to watch it all the way through. I figure, I saw "Lady Sings The Blues" at age 10, "The Rose" at age 11, and a shitload of graphic, gratuitous, hardcore drug PSA's in Jr. High school assemblies, so I've pretty much had my fill of getting the daylights scared out of me watching people bleeding and convulsing and crapping and vomiting from popping pills and sticking smack in their veins- Requiem is one of those critical film darlings that I might just have to pass up smile !!!

i own it but i rarely watch it...sometimes i've made myself watch it when i've felt like i was getting too indulgent with my life. it's kind of like a "scared straight" therapy for getting my shit together.

it left me pretty much unmoved either way. i didn't think it was very deep
and i didn't think it was very graphic.

for me it's the same thing as Donnie Darkp. people keep bringing it up and
i fail to understand what all the fuss is about since they're both about
as straight forward as you can get, and a bit boring as well. the only way
i got to sit through both of them was because the lead men are hot.

I love this disturbing movie!!!!

I have to agree with Chris Ellen Burstyn was genius in this movie. She should've won the Oscar for it.

Instead it went to Julia Roberts, for playing herself! Gotta love Hollywood!

I saw it and, aside from Ellen Burstyn's subplot, it was insanely overrated.

I thought Pi was far more interesting.

this movie scared the crap out of me.

i saw it one day with some friends but they didn't tell me what the movie was about. so when i saw the opening credits i thought it was going to be a comedy because i saw that marlon wayans was in it.

boy, was i wrong.

i also thought that taxi driver was going to be a comedy because cybill shepherd was in it. i watched the whole thing on a saturday morning waiting for the funny part.
