So, are the answers to the mystery scientific, religious or supernatural?

Im gonna go with scientific experiments. Only because I think the other two would be a cop out in the end.

Having said that, the storyline of the numbers has a somewhat supernatural aura about it...

TO answer your question is to give my opinion, cuz we just don't know yet.

I tend to think it's a little bit of all three. scientific, religious AND supernatural.

Sceintific - I think this is most prevailent. A bunch o Hippie high thinking scientists and philosophers wanted to make a Free thinking commune that would do experiments involving ESP, Para ESP, Zoology, Electromagnitism etc. In fact these are the different institues of thought...

Obviously we've seen a little bit of each of these throughout the series so far.

They needed to be able to do this far away from the gen public and so picked the island. Or made one. Some of the experiments have gone terribly arwy. And this is where we are at now.


Spiritual - Definitely. There are many many similarities to what's going on and the holy bible (and I am sure other religiouis beliefs). Also many on the islad have some sort of redemtion to do. The characters Eko and Locke are certainly grinding into the spiritual. and faith.

Supernatural - As well. The expermients also delved into this. I believe the numbers have something to do with this. Also almost everyone has crossed paths with each other and many other criss crosses as well.

So those are my "few" thoughts on it all.
