Question about thunderstorms and US States

I tried to google this but couldn't find what I was looking for. My question is which state probably has the most thunderstorms per year? I have lived in Salinas CA for 7 years and have seen 2 thunderstorms. So curious as to gets to see them very often. Back where I used to live in Dallas Texas I would see thunderstorms often. But I am sure there is a place that gets it more than that. Thank you.

Florida claims top spot in lightening strikes for the US.

Tornado Alley probably has the most thunderstorms.

States in Tornado Alley include Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas and Texas. There are more but I cannot think of them right this minute.
I'm firmly planted in denial

florida, we are the lightning capital of the world. That doesn't mean we're tops in storms, but man we have some lightning strikes.
