i acted like a total boob once when i met kim and thurston from sonic youth. it was when i worked for a real estate company and my bosses were showing them an apartment in brooklyn. i met kim first and i just completely dorked out - she was very sweet, by the way - and in the middle of my mental fit, thurston moore rode up to us on his bicycle, with his guitar slung over his back. i nearly passed out. i was a complete star-struck dork. but i still got to help give them a tour of the apartment, so like whatever. it's a bit embarrassing to remember, but still way cool.

Michael Moore tried to embarrass me in fron of 6,000 people at a stop on his "Slacker Uprising" tour. At the press conference, I asked him why he always wears the baseball cap. He answered my question politely. BUT...when he was giving his speech later in the evening, he used my smart-assed question as a lightning rod for how "weak" the media has become. He said that "some hack reporter asked me about my ballcap. This is how weak the media has become."

I LAUGHED my ass off...
