I really enjoyed the Village. I thought it was such a romantic movie more than anything. The scene between Phoenix and Bryce about dancing on their wedding day... love2

My favorite part of "the Village" is when William Hurt moved this thread into the right forum.

there's a new movie apparently with Dennis Quaid in it where his dead wife tries to communicate with him through the TV? I've been trying to find it everywhere on the net to see when it's coming out in Australia but can't find anything sad

I havent seen the Grudge yet, but I didn't care for The Village.

They totally marketed that movie as a bona-fide horror flick, which it isnt, and the ending just negates anything remotely scary or suspenseful about the movie.

I've seen 'The Grudge'. It's horror levels were pre-schoolish and very much 'on da surface' meaning it actually wasn't deep enough for me 2 get scared of anything.

Infact i laughed and made fun of da dicky sound da ghost of da dead Japanese woman falloff

It was sooo not horror. It was comedy!!

The Village was not what I expected but good. Well, done with good actors. The Grudge was o.k.

Anyone see "Saw"? saw It sounds interesting. A phsyco kidnaps people and puts them into a life or death situation that they have to overcome to live.
I see dead people.

I HATED both of these films. The Village was the first M Knight movie that I just found nothing good about. It was boring, and the "twist" ending was forced. Just a twist for the sake of having one. Definitely wasn't scary in any sense of the word. To even call it horror is a real stretch.

The Grudge was about as scary as an episode of Scooby Doo. A total snooze fest that was about as typical as you can get. If you're scared of little japanese kids, then this movie might alarm you. Otherwise don't bother. bored

White Noise is the name of the film. It revolves around EVP (electronic voice phenomena), an actual paranormal phenomenon where the dead contact the living through the static of TV and other recording devices. Keeton is, indeed, the star. It was okay, but not really scary. The ending was quite hokey.

Saw wasn't too bad. The acting is weak, but the story line was interesting and theres some intense moments in the movie. It originally got an NC-17 rating...
