That song is too FUNKY. But are we sure it isn't from the archive - I mean I haven't heard anything that funky in a long time!
Well played, Prince. Well played.

Wow!!! What a mess!
I have been a Prince fan since I was 12 years old, am now 34, love most of his music, have bought it all.
People have been taking the lyrics to heart, why? People have been offended, Why?
This is Prince people, the reason we all love him is for his talent and genius. Don't take his lyrics personally/be offended/take them as gospel - anyone remember "Head", "Sister" and "Sexy MF" to name a few??
He's just trying to have a laugh in my opinion.
I'm amazed by the anger on here, people threatening to boycott him, thinking that because we buy his music we own him, any decent Prince fan/fam or whatever should know that he makes music for himself, because it's his life.
All this furore is a shame, Prince was a pioneer of promoting himself on the internet and ironically it has bitten him on the ass, mainly due to the fact that people (most of us to be honest) get a lot of "free" music from the net.
The much publicised legal name change/slave period, whether he was successful or not points this out. Prince wants to own his music, which is only fair and if people want it they should pay, it is his job after all.
This can all be put in a nutshell by basically stating that Prince is fed up with his likeness/music lyrics being abused by a few unscrupulous people (remember "take my name" written in protest to lollipops being called Prince). He has the right to challenge people he thinks are doing him an injustice and it is a shame that true fans are caught in the crossfire.
I know it's unlikely that Prince will read this, if he does; Prince, u are an amazing, talented and inspirational human being, much love and respect 2 U. May U Live 2 See The Dawn.

Why do people post as if they know what Prince is thinking? All these assumptions are just snow-balling into stupid and senseless arguments. I don't claim to know if Prince is 'dissing' his fans or simply poking fun, but we've all read and seen how disgusting, malicious and harmful media intrusion can be into a 'celebrity's' life. I'm not asking people to take pity but is it too much to ask to think for a minute, how it must feel to not be able to walk down the street without photographers constantly sticking a camera in your face and websites speculating on all aspects of your personal life? I don't understand what you detractors want from Prince. HE'S A MUSICIAN. As far as I know, his only obligation (if there is one) to anyone is to create music...which he does. So what's the problem? Do people want some form of personal dedication? Do you want Prince to call to your house and hang out and tell you how much he appreciates you? Are you owed that? I know its natural to take his music personally, I do it, but seriously, what difference does it make who he's sleeping with, or what clothes he wears, or if he likes Coke or Pepsi. Why do you need to know? For the record, I'm not claiming that my opinion is the correct one, but I don't think anyone could claim they have a right to Prince's personal affairs. Leave the man alone to create the music we've all enjoyed for the past thirty years. And whoever compared Prince to Hitler is an idiot, plain and simple. Don’t be so ignorant.

Sites, people, peers, infulences Do not make Prince, he does! I will have 2 be honest.

I think Prince org has the wrong end of the stick. As much i like Prince org (Member since 1996) i feel mostly they are not profiting from Prince, but in true fact Preserving Princes legacy, where we can all like adults discuss this genius.

Like some sites, not Prince org, there has been discussion of bootlegs and some profit.

why cant we have a discussin database, dats all in should be. Thats what it is, forgive me Prince if i am wrong.

ok if NPG MUSIC CLUB existed, which it does not now, then Prince is right. But there are no forums, no database commerating or celebrating Prince, praising
this individual
