The "What If" Threads need to stop

Pointless and random ideas need to be restrained!

Of course 20ten would be recieved differently in a different era and Purple Rain wouldnt have been popular without the soundtrack etc etc etc etc.

Every day I find another one of these threads.

Please give it up.

You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

If you see something that you feel should be reported then do so. The mods will look into it.

If you don't like a thread, just ignore it...

I remember that a couple of years ago the "Vs" thread were very popular; some geezers complained about it, but eventually people got tired of that kind of thread and that was all...

Chill. Relax.

This isn't about me ignoring threads that I dislike

This is a message to those who are intent on creating worthless threads with imaginary subjects.

When i see threads that look stupid, i keep going. When i'm duped into thinking a thread is interesting only to find it pointless and stupid i leave again. It never crossed my mind to act as a one man censorship board, even when i'm insulted for my opinions. Hypothetical threads can be fun, pointless, usefull, and often generate a whole new debate halfway through. If a 'what if" thread thrives to 10 pages, complete with heated debate and useless conjecture how is it problematic to someone who is a non participant?. We already have enough rules to abide by; hell we cant even mention MJ here:-? so why are we taking this so serious when you can just move on to a thread that suits your interest?.

Sure the "What if" threads can be boring. Oh, but some can be frickin hilarious.

While sometimes the "What If" threads can shed light on are personal bias on a subject or music piece.

then i guess someone's personal preference would have suddenly become a fact, regardless of what anyone else thinks.

it happens in politics every day, one person makes a decision, then they try to force everyone else to do what they want.

i believe it is called a dictatorship, a democracy is a laughing matter for some.
